HI, this is really going to sound stupid for the computer people out there but my question is I have a BEFVP41 router here at work, and we need to get into our customers computer to pull down information for our jobs, the customer gave me all the information to enter for the router but my question is what do I need on Windows XP pro to get this vpn connection going? I will need to have this on a few different computers at my work, and reading the Linksys site it talked about going into start then run and typing secpol.msc and then entering all this stuff, do I have to enter all this data in? or can I use create a new connection and do the VPN from there? or do I need both of these configured? I am lost as where to go from here, any information is greatly appreciated, thank you.

If you have BEFVP41, your customers may need to create IPSec to connect to your router; if your customers have building VPN router, they can setup router to router VPN. One way or other, you only need to setup VPN on the BEFVP41.

Hello, I am in the same boat. I installed a Linksys WRV54G Wireless VPN router at my Mother's office and now I am unable to connect to the office from her house. I have created the IPSec Policies as decribed by both Linksys (Appendex C) and MS , but cannot establish the connection. What am I missing? The computer I am using to connect to the office is running Windows 2000 and is connected diectly to a cable modem (no router). Do I need to setup anything else in the office other then the router? I have been fighting this for two whole weekends now? Any help would be greatly welcomed!!!!!

Thanks in advance...
