I have a question concerning the IE8 InPrivacy setting. I need to check websites that have been visited on a computer running IE8. The computer has been confiscated and I need to perform some forensics on it for offending material. The inprivacy setting is supposed to not keep a list or tracking. My questions are as follows, What files do I need to check, index.dat file etc? If the user has used the InPrivacy setting where do I get any tracking? I don't buy that it's not store at all or is it really the case?
