Hi all,
I have a problems with a couple of PCs that are running NT4 with IE6

When you close down IE6 sometimes the Iexplore.exe process continues to run.

Does anyone know why this happens and is there a fix for it??

Anyhelp would be apprectiated.
Cheers
matt

a little. it causes the pc not to shut down for the user. as nt doesnt seem to be able to kill the process prperly when shutting down

Not heard of this - mind you, the only NT installation running ie6 I ever see nowadays is on my multi-boot machine. Have you tried running the ie repair function (from add/remove programs)?

mattyjenks,
What about using a better browser i.e. Mozilla Firefox 1.0?

well i do but users need IE6 for some stupid CCTV monitoring website grrrr

Could this not be achieved with the relevant Mozilla extensions?
