IE VERY slow

Starting about 3 months ago my IE 5.5 began to be exasperatingly slow. 60 seconds to fire up my home page. 15 - 30 seconds to switch pages. This is on a broadband connection (roadrunner). I upgraded to 6.0 with no change, so I reverted to 5.5.

Also, instead of entries going into my /Temporary internet files directory, they are instead going to a cache directory under Mozilla.

Netscape works as normal. I'm on Windows ME.

Anyone have any ideas?

Go to

and download and install Ad-aware and remove all of your "spyware". Mozilla is full of spyware. Inernet Explorer has Alexa spyware. This would be a good start. "A little knowledge is a dangerous thing....."
