I know that ActiveX can take over functions of various programs which support it, especially IE. Is there any way to create a program that when run on a client computer will turn on the background colours for printing?

What I'm trying to do is create a HTML based CD-ROM which I need to print out with background colours. My idea is that I launch the first HTML page and a activex script turns on the background colours printing.

Any help appreciated, especially if it's just to FAQs or How-To's

Sorry about cross posting, I only found out about activex scripting after I posted the original message in the VB forum.

No in IE the default setting is not to print te background. Which isn't any problem for me representing the info on the screen, but I also want the user to be able to understand everything in print as well.
