Please advise..

I have a Windows XP home edition that recently got the MSN updated with latest version. Since I being the owner, logged in with my account and installed MSN, IE in my profile has stopped working and errors out. The other 2 profiles are working fine though.
If I have to install IE, this software came as part of the OS installed on this Compaq computer and I do not have any software CDs etc..
Any help will be greatly appreciated...

You might be lucky with this fix?

Internet Explorer Fix

You also have the option to uninstall any update via Add or Remove programs, there is also System Restore too.

You are skating on thin ice not having any recovery CD's. It might be a good idea to contact Compaq and sort that problem out.

As of SP2 IE has come with a new way of reregistering itself (as this seems to be the case here, as the other accounts are working)...

on a CMD Line, ie. Start/RUN type IEXPLORER.EXE /rereg...

hope this helps...

If it works don't fix it! If it doesn't use a sledgehammer...
