Internet Explorer Maintenance and VPN Connections
I'm pulling out my hair here. Is there a way to control ALL Dial-up and Virtual Private Network settings without importing them? I'm trying to gain the ability to change proxy server settings and automatic configurations settings to all my vpn users on the fly. But I'm having no luck, has anyone successfully done this?
If I understand the processing of GPO's correctly shouldn't the OU GPO override the local GPO when conflict occurs? The issue I have here is when win2k servers were not managing my clients. I implemented a local GPO. This local GPO was set primarily to import connection settings. Now that AD is in place, I'd like to regain control. My OU GPO is set to Do not customize Connections Settings. Shouldn't this change the local GPO?
Perhaps I picked the wrong day to quit sniffing glue?... thanks to anyone who will help me understand.. =)
