A friend seems to have installed some malware that tries, whenever he open Internet Explorer, to get him to download something called ie-av.exe from a site called getieantivirus.com. If he keeps closing the pop-up windows it still directs him to a site called free-antiviruscan.com/id/4912933/4/1. In the end, Internet Explorer crashes as there as so many pop-up windows open trying to get him to go to this site, and he is now basically unable to go on the internet.
Any body out there no of a resolution to this???

Thanks copied the removal tools to a USB stick will let you know how I get on with the task later.
