I maintain a web page and something strange happened.
Upon publishing my pages I called up the url in IE6 the
page came up but there were items missing from my view
(clickable tabs across the top) I called someone to view
the page on their pc and the page looked fine. I had
them verify to me the new additions I had made. I cleared
out cache and tried again. Same problem. What has
happened? Running on ME op system

What OS and browser did they have? I'd recommend you have a couple PCs with different OSs and browsers installed. This way you can test yourself in the future. If it turns out its just your PC in this case, try installing IE6 again. You should find an ie6setup.exe on your hard drive.

I have already reinstalled IE6 to no avail. I have confirmed it is my pc. I have tried it from win98 to XP and it all work accept for mine. I have cleared cache, offline content, history , cookies, disabled the firewall, ran spybot then uninstalled spybot and on and on. Weird stuff!
