Hi

Hope you can help, one of my clients installed a search bar assistant called ISerach. This orignally messed up IE but i managed to get rid of it but now everytime IE loads it crashes and XP sends a message saying IE has crashed. I can't re-install IE 6 SP 1 cause when i try a message states that a newer version is already installed. I have changed a registry key to supposedly stop it checking what version it is installing but it still says a newer version is installed,

Any help would be great
thanks
Simon

How did you remove Isearch?
As a first cut at this issue, run Ramesh, MS-MVP, little utility called IEFix. Be sure to check the option box to allow an SFC /Scannow operation to be performed:

i followed a documnet to uninstall it. It icluded deleteing some registry keys.

Thanks for the reply i will give this a try

Regards

SImon
