I'm on Windows 98 SE, and I need to uninstall IE5.5 and get back to IE5.00 (or 5.01).

Going through the "Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs>Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 and Internet Tools" route gives the "Internet Explorer 5.5 and Internet Tools" dialog, but the all-important "Restore the previous Windows configuration" is greyed out. I tried reinstalling 5.5, but noticed on the way in that it said something like "You are about to install a version of IE5.5 with the uninstall option disabled" [or something like that].

So how do I uninstall IE5.5 ?

I hope someone can help.

Robert

If you go to my computer,c,progam files, internet explorer, read me it basicly says SE is already IE5, therefore the uninstall is listed as N/A
