IE 5.5 will crash when I try to open a link that also opens frames. I keep getting the message (process has allready exited) has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. You will need to restart the program. I have ret\stored all defaults with no luck. I am wondering if this may be a profile issue. Any help would be appreciated!

i would first go to control panel>add/remove progs. >select IE and click add/remove and it will then give you a repair option. if no good then download spybot or ad-aware and run those. good luck.

Thanks, I have used SpyBot quite frequently. I will give it a try.

After running Spybot, (Which did find some spyware) I am still experiencing the problem. I can reimage a machine and get rid of the problem. I can copy over the profile and do not have the same problems. So it must not have been the profile. At this point re-building the machine seems to be my best option!

did you try the repair tool?

oh if that don't work why not upgrade to IE 6.0?

Yes I did run the repair tool. It seemed to help at first, then the same problem reoccured. I cannot upgrade to IE6. That is not supported at the shop where I am located!
Thanks for the options.
