I have a theoretical database question that is bugging me.
I've looked in a few places for this to be defined but all the wordy definitions tap dance around my question.
Does an 'Identifying Relationship' exist where a child table's primary key is in part made up of a parent table's primary key?
Does the child table also have to have a Foreign Key constraint to the parent table key to classify the relationship as 'identifying'?
Dazed and confused
