I installed a RocketRaid 133 IDE adaptor card in my Linux 9 server. How can I get the machine to recognize and boot from the drives attached to this adaptor. How can I even tell if the machine sees that card? They sent some drivers but the instructions are the worst (as is their site).

Any help would be appreciated.

I installed the adaptor card and drive and the bios utility for rocketraid sees the drive, but I do not know what drive to mount? Does anyone have experiece with ide adaptor cards and device naming, mounting?

THanks

If you have all the IDE channels of your M/B on, you should have hda, hdb hdc & hdd. Additional IDE channels will start from hde, hdf, etc.
