.ics files what directory?

I received a link for updating my Outlook/Office 2003 SP1 calendar, but it doesn't save it to the proper directory. When I click the link it says open save cancel. I've tried open and get some can't find directory error. I click save and it opens the My Documents folder. Where does this file go so when I open Outlook my calendar will be updated with the Live meeting date. Or how do you update your calendar when someone sends you a link like this? The link in the same e-mail for a Live meeting works. Is it the link thats bad or what?

I've been googling my brains out looking for this answer. I have also posted it on the Office 2003 discussion group but nobody seems to know.
