Hello all,

I have a IBM Think Pad that I'm working on. It will not start. I get a blank screen. The fans run and I can hear the hard drive start to spin. Then I get a series of beeps. Beep pause beep, beep, beep pause beep, beep, beep pause beep.

I checked and I can't find what these beeps mean.

If anyone out there knows what these beeps mean I would be very thank full.

Thanks, spool

Don't argue with an idiot, he will bring you down to his level and beat you with his experience.

Its obviously failing POST. Try searching for thinkpad POST beep codes for more information, or emailing IBM. I would imagine that the video is failing somewhere. Maybe a cable has come out? You could try tilting the screen to different positions to see if it comes on. You could try an external monitor to see if there is a video signal there.

Thanks for the info.

I tried the external monitor same beeps.

I checked with IBM's web site and the beeps could be the DIMM or the Mother Board.

I will need to check the memory cards.
