I am having a problem with a machine not shutting off or turning on all the time. It seems that the power button requires some jiggling to get the power to turn on. Most of the time, this problem is irrelevant as the machine stays on, however, if there is a power outage, the user has difficulty getting the computer back on.

Any suggestions?

I do not have any experience with this model, but trouble with the power switch is fairly common.

The standard test is to follow the two leads from the switch to the motherboard. (If any of the leads go to the power supply, ignore this tip). Take a screwdriver and momentarily and carefully short the two pins where the leads from the switch connect to the motherboard. If the machine boots, replace the switch.
