I've was searching for the information on the front panel connector for an IBM Pentium 4 (non-hyperthreading) motherboard I just picked up. There doesn't seem to be any pin-out information although the thread602-1082862 was a start.
The board I'm referring to has an IBM FRU of 49P1599. The F_PANEL connector is an 8-pin inline package. Here is the pinout starting from the top (CPU at top):
Pins Use
1-2 Hard Disk LED
3-4 Power LED
5-6 Power Switch
7-8 Not sure - but it seems to act as some type of power switch.
Here is the link to IBM's (Lenovo's) web site with a diagram of the motherboard:
Hope that this is of some help to others!
