hello all-
I'm a tech at a large school district in which the director would like us to use IBM'S RDM (remote management) tools to image Net Vista pc's that use Wake on Lan, sysprep and SMA/SDA (IBM tools) to do it. Without getting into a whole 101 course on how it's done, I just want to know if anyones experienced this type of scenario in the field who may be able to provide a viewpoint or tips on it's success rate.
I took a 2 day power course on IBM's Universal Manageability tools approximately 1.5 months ago, so I rememeber very little because this keeps getting pushed off BUT now the boss wants it set up by Friday.. The instructor said this whole topology wouldn't work when doing it over a packet-switched environment. If anyone knows more about this remote-type feature using IBM NetVista pc's and RDM SMA/SDA.. please shoot me an email thanks!!!!
