I have a IBM 1200 running Windows ME that has decided not to ever shut down. I have to physically take the battery out of it. I have tried everything I can think of to fix this. Any ideas?
This may be a shot in the dark, but try turning off your restore points by going to Properties under My Computer. I have noticed that for one thing they do take up alot of space and if any of the restore files are damaged or corrupted, the only way to fix it is to turn them off then reboot and it will refresh itself and clean out the bad files.
I take it you have already tried to go to the option of using last known good profile.
