IAS email cert for aurthentication

Hi,

I wonder if anyone can help with the following scenario.

I wish to secure my wireless network by using our existing secure email certs. Each of our users has a email cert for encrypting their mail, according to the CA that we purchase them from (Comodo) they can also be used for authentication.

My current set up is a windows 2000 DC, + 3 additional win2k Srv boxes (File./Print etc) 20 x Desktops, 4 x Dlink 900ap+.
I want to use the Certs if possible because I have many users (Developers/Contractors) who use their own Laptops, which are not part of my domain, but one thing we all have in common is the email certs.

If anyone has any pointers or suggestion I would be ver gratefull.
