When is it realy necessary to use IAS and Radius. I know its used for wireless and VPN remote clients but some wireless access points have builtin authentication or encrypted methods.
IAS and RADIUS give you centralized administration. If you have multiple APs in your wireless network, it would give you one place to configure access. It also allows for greater security.
