IA770 cannot transfer from mailbox

after logging into my mailbox,i hit *t, am prompted for extension number, i enter number followed by #, hear the name announced, told to please wait. then i get "transfer cannot be completed"

i can transfer out of an AA,and *t from a greeting. enhanced cover 0 set to yes. no operator defined. no outcalling set.

a sub activity trace revealed... you guessed it .. nothing.

any help would be appreciated.

Just curious, does the extension you are transferring to exist in both Audix and the PBX? What VM are you using, and is the extension on the local PBX, or on another system?

Might be transfer restrictions in the system-parameters features

the extension i am transfering to is a subscriber. it's an ia770 in a stand alone s8500c. extension is local.

the problem doesn't happen if the customer is at this desk, calls vmail, logins in, then does *t. so it is some sort of restriction in the pbx. the trace is not help.

It might be a COR restriction on the Audix lines themselves. Although if it works from the desk it should work. If you call an internal extension can you *t out? I wonder if its a restriction on external calls only.

You might try doing a "list trace tac nnn" on the trunk for Audix and see if it shows anything. Here is a link to the manual:

Not sure what release your on, but this might help get you started. In our system, under system-parameters features, My settings are:

CALL TRANSFER OUT OF AUDIX
Transfer Type: enhanced_no_cover_0 Transfer Restriction: subscribers

I do not have to log in for this to work, I can call any subscriber and *8 out to any extension. Sounds like a good one.
