i2004 phase 1 and Release 5.0

Have a remote site (the only one up to rls 5.0) and when you hang a i2004 phase 1 phone, the phone works but the keys are blank.
Its not a phone issue, as I have reconfigured phone for my local site (release 4.0 to 4.5) and the phone display works fine. Don't think its a firmware issue, phone and sig server up to current release? Any ideas?

is the set programmed as a phase one or two set?

i.e. 2004p1 or 2004p2 as set type?

p1, with the latest firmware I could find. Strange the buttons work, but aren't displayed

For kicks, I outed programming and changed TN to p2 instead of p1. Initially the set worked, but only temporarily. Seems the switch changed the type from 2004p2 back to 2004p1.
Is there a way I can wipe the firmware from the phone, so its forced to freshly pull the firmware?

The CS 1000 automaticlly sets the 2004p1 versus 2004p2 by querying the phone to determine what type it is.

If you have 0603B76 on the Phase 1, then you have the last available load. Firmware for a Phase II will NOT load on a Phase 1.

Thanks g, I have the latest upload dated 2/27/09 with the b76 firmware. Found a work around, strange as it is. Go to phone options, and scroll down to change key label, select restore to default all. Keys magically appear after that.
Only problem is it doesn't stay that way after a power boot.
