i am using Access97 in a Novel environment.

i have a report that should be viewed and printed on legal paper (if not, the report ends up being two pages instead of one).

i keep going to file, page setup and chosing Legal for paper size. but somehow, next time i open the database, it defaults back to letter size.

is there a way (programmatically?) to force a report to be on legal paper all the time?
My guess is this is not a report but you are printing a query. If you create a report based on the query and save the options it will always print to the options you have saved. You can make the report look exactly like the query.

Microsoft Access stores the settings for page setup options with a form or report, so you set these options only once for each form or report. For tables, queries, and modules, you must set page setup options every time you print.
