i want a bbs again damnit

i want to put up a bbs again.. everytime i try running renegade or telegard i get hit with runtime errors like crazy.. i think its cause of the different fat.. would going back to oldschool fat16 change things?

anyone know of a bbs that can run through a highspeed connection, like a real lookin' bbs.. i remember mbbs was sorta media related for its time..

anyone know??
