I received the attachement c:\abc.eps via Outlook. I had opened the attachement before with jpeg extension going thru ....

I'm missing the last few steps. I did this few months ago and now I am in lost. I have W2K Prof.

It sounds like you need a viewer that can open .eps (Encapsulated PostScript) files. I know Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft PhotoDraw, IrfanView, probably PaintShop Pro, and many others can open .eps files. If you have one of these already installed, you may need to associate the .eps extension with that application. If not, I might suggest downloading and installing IrfanView freeware. During the installation you will select the specific file types you want to associate with IrfanView. At minimum, make sure you select the eps file type.
As to how you did it before by changing to a jpeg, I'm not sure. Good luck.
