I know I know it's simple for most but I've tried to
to format the cells to add a zero in front under format cells but they would not! Help needed. Thanks.

Using Excel2000.
 
highlite the column....

then format>cells...choose the numbers tab then "custom" from the list... then where it says "TYPE:" ...type 00

then click OK
