I/O Fail (Load): program halted ... has anyone seen this error?

WE are running a new application on a Citrix farm (NFuse??) (new to me) it's on a application server and the data resides on Oracle 9i 2. We are having trouble with this error coming up while several users are in the database..I/O Fail (Load): program halted. I think it's a user disconnecting improperly and causing a load balance issue..because it appears that they are still connected... but I could use some input for a pro!!
