I need to delete a Mail box and not the user.

How do I delete a mailbox for employee who is gone but I need the keep the user id in AD.

Open Exchange administrator, select the mailbox and delete. It will not delete the user from AD.


Carlsberg don't run I.T departments, but if they did they'd probably be more fun.

In ADUC, right click the user, choose Exchange Tasks, then Delete Mailbox.
