I'm not very NT Workstation savy, but I was given the task to set up mini-network consisting of 1 server, and 2 workstations, to be added on to with other worstations at a later time. It needs to have file sharing capability. I'm using NT Workstation. I have installed it, but I can not get it to recgnize the PCMICA Control. If anyone can help please give me some tips , or ideas.

Lost as all heck.

You are going to have to get the drivers from the laptop manufacturers web site for the PCMCIA drivers.

BobSchleichers remark is partly true: on top of this, check if the setting for the pcmcia bus are correct in the bios of your laptop.

Sometimes, when it's set on automatic, it will not recognize your card. You would have to set it to the type of PCMCIA card you use (for example Cardbus) and/or if it's a 16 or 32 bit card. (I know for a fact that this is an issue with several types of Toshiba laptops)

Do you have a CardWizard installed?

NT 4 doesnt like looking at naked cards, u need the wizard.
