We just got some new Dell computers in without floppy drives and are trying to deploy Windows XP from a RIS server. I want to create a bootable CD so we don't need to put floppy drives in the computers. Does anyone know how to do this? The bootable floppy disks that are created from the RIS server have 1 file on them called risdisk. I tried to create an image of the floppy and burn it to CD but it does not work. It seems to me that the floppy is missing something like the msdos.sys or the io.sys. Can anyone help?

You need to emulate floppy boot device on the cd.
You can do this with the latest nero .
Burn a bootable cd with floppy emulation .
The cd image transfers data from the floppy disk in your A,
and will make the cd bootable with the usage of floppy emulation using the files/data from the one you made as a floppy disk .
