Hi-

I accidentally locked myself out of a folder by filtering rights inherited from the parent folder. Another admin removed all of the trustees that were granted rights specifically to that folder! Now it appears that I and all other admins are locked out of that folder. There must be a way to get this back? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Well, I haven't messed with admin stuff like that for a while.. but I always thought that you couldn't filter out the S right. maybe i'm wrong..

however, one thing you could do is delete the volume from NDS (not from the server).. this just deletes the NDS object from within NWADMIN.. Then Run a DSREPAIR from the server and check volume objects and trustees. This should wipe all of them out. Then from the server in NWCONFIG, go into Directory Options, and add it back in. You'll have to recreate the rights, so back them up first so you know how to lay them back down..
