I have VB.NET installed first can I install VB6

I have VB.NET personal version, the $99 edition. I want to install VB6 now, I thought I remember seeing somewhere that is a problem. Does VB6 need to be installed first?

There should not be any problem. However the $99 version of VB.NET is "undebugged" -- Visual Studio .NET 2003 is more reliable.

Read the "readme" file from VB.NET before you proceed.
