I have used Corel Draw for the past 6 years & have recently switched to Adobe
ILLUSTRATOR because of it's industry standard reputation. In Corel DRAW there is a feature that let's you ALIGN objects to the CENTER of the PAGE. Being new to ILLUSTRATOR I can't seem to find a way to align objects to the center of the page with Illustrator. Does Illustrator let you do this & if so how?
Thanks,

Hi Dave,

I too am a Corel Draw user that is finally taking the plunge into the land of Adobe Illustrator. So far, so good. Sadly no Envelope tool :(

Here's How you can align your objects in Illustrator:
If you haven't already done so open the Align Palette by going to Windows/Show Align or press Shift+ F7. Click on the little triangle on the right side of the Align Palette and select the option "Align to Artboard". Then select the object(s) you want and press the 3rd icon in the Align Palette "Horizontal Align Center" followed by the "Vertical Align Center" icon in the same row (5th from the left-1st row)

Keep in mind if you have several objects selected ALL will be aligned to center individually. You can avoid this by grouping them before hand.

Hope this helps. Good luck.
