I have recently acquired a Visioneer 4800 flatbed scanner. Installation went fine, and the scanner works OK. It is the type without on/off switches, and powers up & down when it is used. However, I shut down my computer and about an hour later, noticed that the scanner lamp was lit. It was plugged in, but the computer was switched off, so I assume that was no power through the USB connection. Is this a fault in the scanner's power supply, or is it normal?

P.S. It has been suggested that I have a ghost in the house who doesn't like technology!
