I have changed the local policy of a windows 2000 professional pc so that users could not log on locally or so I thought!! Now when i go to logon, even as a local administrator it gives me the error "The local policy of this system does not allow you to logon interactivley"

Please can anyone help!! i know that i can connect to the pc in questions registry from another machine but I don't know which key i am likley to have changed.

Thankyou

Lindsay

Yes - many local group policies apply to all users - even Administrators (though these - well ones I'm thinking of - need you to specify groups/users who can/can't logon). If you can connect from another machine, just run mmc, then add snap-in for group policy. Choose browse button, computers tab, another computer & browse/select machine in question. You should now be able to edit the appropriate entry (Computer Configuration|Windows Settings|Security Settings|User Rights Assignment| - either Deny logon locally or Logon locally) - assuming your user has sufficient privilege.
