I have a table and associated form that tracks training for individuals. Each training title is required annually.

What I'd like to be able to do is have the form display training that is close to being outdated (within 90 days of expiration) in a yellow font, and training expired in a red font in the form itself. Then, when I enter the new date after training, it will display as the default font again.

Possible, and if so, how?

If you are using Access 2000 or higher you can use the conditional formating option for controls. It works quite well for something like this.

Hope this helps,

How do I select conditional formatting?

Click on the control and then From the menu choose Format and Conditional Formating.

Ok, I've been playing around with the conditional formatting and can't seem to get the results I want.

I want the font to change if the current date is greater than the date listed in the field plus 275 (so if the training is due within the next 90 days, it shows red).

What I tried was setting: Field Value Is - Greater Than - [Forms]![Manpower]![TrainingX]+275

This, however, isn't working. So I tried: Expression Is - "Date">[Forms]![Manpower]![TrainingX]+275

That didn't work either. Keep in mind, I'm not a programmer. Any ideas on what I should put in those fields?

Your very close. Try this

Expression Is Date()>[TrainingX]+275

See if that works

That worked perfectly. Thanks!

Nice to know I wasn't too far off.

Glad it is working for you. Have a great weekend.

Hope this helps.
