I have a report with the fields

I have a report with the fields

"Discipline Name" Acting as group header sorted in ascending order
"ID" acting as Group header sorted in Ascending Order.
"Document Title" in detail section in ascending Order.

If i want to sort the report first by "Discipline name" and then by "Document Title" ignoring the "ID" sort order how to do that?

You need to change the sorting & Grouping order. If it is permanant change, just do it in the sorting & grouping dialog box. If it is necessary to do this dynamically, you need to open the report in design mode (usually hidden, because USERS don't want to see this) and set the sorting & grouping properties vai code. A bit messy, but nothing to get excited about unless you have a lot of calculations done in the group headers/footers.
