I have a Novell server with Arcserv

I have a Novell server with Arcserve 6 running on it. Arcserve is monitored by an NT server with Arcserve fo Novell. At the moement the Tape drive is showing as offline. Is there any way of re-scanning the scsi bus or restarting the tape drive driver without rebooting. I have tried ASTOP6 and ASTART6 which restarts all the Arcserve modules but to no avail.

Please treat any replies as though I no nothing about Novell, as i don't. lol

Hi,

Try unloading and reloading the aspi driver. Your most likely using NWASPI.

At the System Console:

Astop6
unload nwaspi
load nwaspi
Astart6
