I have a dumb question.

I have been looking for a way to automatically post a response to a form on my website.

For one, i dont know how to post the response. Two, I would like to post it in an aesthetically pleasing way.

Can anyone help?

Well... Javascript is not the place to look to accomplish this. Javascript for the web browser is a 'client-side' programming language, and can't deal with data once it's posted to the server.

Depending on the webserver platform you are using, you should ask your question in the ASP, PHP, or Perl forums.
