I have a 4003 switch, now I want to monitor port 34 by a software(NetView), but the software can only monitor by name of MIB instance, not port. How can I find out which port means which MIB instance or they have nothing with each others, thanks.

Look up for MIB instance calling the interface you need to monitor. Did you try running a complete snmpwalk into this switch? It will pop up the interface name by MIB.

hope it helps,
