Hi Everyone,

Choices, choices, choices. Having lots of options is great... but not when it comes to choosing one! There are too many options and then after taking all that time to choose a host, you all the questions.

Where does one start? Who is reliable? What is the average price you should pay?

Ok, I want this post to answer my question and hopefully others who are starting off in the business and need help too.

I want a host which supports
*Flash MX 2004
*asp
*sql server 2000*
*Microsoft access (you never know)
*and possibily good service....

Can any one enlighten me because i'm scared of the dark.

Thank you all

All i can say is that hosts charge a fair bit for SQL Server 2000 and its a bit specialised, as for the other stuff any host should be able to provide the solution at a pretty decent price.
Do you have a preference as to the location of the host (Uk / US etc) as this can make a difference on price. In the UK i tend to reccommend never had any problems with them

Hope this helps,

Simon

Yes... i think i would prefer UK based. Im assuming US is cheaper?

Ignoring flash totally because it has nothing to do with hosting and given your requirements which mean you will need Windows hosting I'd recommend the host I use, Revitalise. UK based servers, Local databases for MySQL or MS SQL at extra cost. ODBC Drivers for remote MySQL and MS SQL installed. Access supported as standard and a real person on the phone. [lol]
