I don´t see all vols 1

I would suggest that the volume objects are not there in NWAdmin - this does not necessarily affect the use of the volumes.
Best thing to do is to go to the server console and load NWCONFIG. Go into the "Directory Service Options" menu and select "Upgrade mounted volumes into the Directory". The server will then determine which volumes need upgrading into DS and will make the changes as required (you may be required to type in a username and password). Give NDS a few minutes to synchronise the changes and then the volumes should be there in NWAdmin

Hey TheLad, I have one for you... Remember in NW5.x and 4.x how if you mounted a CDROM, you could follow the process you mentioned above, and get the CDROM volume automaticaly added into NDS?
Well.. I'll buy you lunch if you can tell me how to achieve the same thing in NetWare 6.5 without having to create the volume manually (with NWADMIN or ConsoleONE).
Issue 1 -- NWCONFIG no longer handles this function
Issue 2 -- ConsoleOne "Media" tab does not list CDROM volumes, therefore can't do it there like you can with regular volumes.

Can't check for certain as I don't have a NW6.5 box to mess with, but can't you do it from the portal (in the browser, servers IP address>:8008) - I know you can rename traditional volumes from here but since I don't have a NW6.5 box to check I can't confirm this....

I don't see it in there anywhere on any of the remote management stuff.
Sorry you don't have a 6.5 box to play with. I think the same thing applies to NetWare 6. It was NW 6 where they actually took the functionality out of NWCONFIG and put it into ConsoleONE.

I checked the Novell TIDs and they reckon it is there, maybe you have to load an associated NLM to get the functionality in the Portal. If I find out, I'll post back...

Dunno if this helps Marv, but found it in the NW6.5 documentation. Apparently you can add the CD volume direct to NDS using an NLM switch??

You no longer need to use cdrom.nlm, udf.nss, cd9660.nss, or cdhfs.nss for CD, DVD, and Macintosh* support. The functionality of these NSS commands has been combined into one command: cddvd.nss.
When you load cddvd.nss, it uses the same set of switches (UpdateCDToNDS, LoginUpdateToNDS, LeaveCDInNDS, and LockCDMediaIn) that were used in the previous commands. In addition, the LoadISOVolumeFirst switch has been added.
Dual-formatted CDs are activated as one volume and the format is decided by cddvd.nss. By default, cddvd.nss loads the formats in descending order, with the UDF format first, ISO9660 next, and CDHFS last. If you have a UDF bridge disk, which supports both UDF and ISO9660 formats, you can instruct NSS to load ISO9660 first by entering LoadISOVolumeFirst at the server console.

I had noticed that CDROM.NLM no longer works (on NW6.5) but never put a lot of thought into what might have happened to it. Also had never used any of those command line switches before, but definitely nice to know.
