Hi all,
I have been trying to select the "effects" property in WIn XP but everytime I select the option nothing seems to happen?

I did go through and disabled some services but i was pretty careful in not disabling that looked of some relevance..

Any ideas?

Cheers
Sam...

What effects are you trying to obtain? The Effects tab in Display under Appearances only modifies visual effects for Windows menus, icons, and fonts.

Did you check
Change visual effects in System

Open System in Control Panel.
On the Advanced tab, under Performance, click Settings.
On the Visual Effects tab, click Custom.
Select the check box for those items you want to turn on. Clear the check box for the items you want to turn off.

If you want to check what services you need to run here is a good site for that type of information.
