I broke my POP3 server.

So originally the plan was to deny POP3 access to make sure that our users were forced to use clients that support calenering. For this reason I denied access to the default POP3 Virtual server from all IPs. Now some of the users have complained to the big boss and he wants me to accomodate them, and I have to allow POP access. The problem is now that I'm allowing all IPs to access it, the connection is lost as soon as it's made (when testing with Telnet to 110).

All IPs are allowed access, there is no connection limit, POP3 is enabled for all mailboxes. When I stop the service the telnet connection times out, so I know that at least the service is using the correct port. I removed my antivirus for testing purposes. Service packs have been re-applied. MAPI and HTTP access are working fine.

The system is also a DC (I know, I know - really not much choice though), terminal server is running just for my administrative access.

Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated. Marc Creviere
