I believe this is a DNS Problem 1

I haven't gotten anyone to respond to this problem. Any suggestions would be helpful as I know little to nothing about DNS.

We have two domains, domaina and domainb. Domainb is a child to domaina. When I am logged onto domaina from a workstation, I can go to network neighborhood and see domainb. I can double click and see all of the computers on domainb. However, if I try to access any computer (including the member server) on domain b while logged into domain a, I get this error:

\\Serverb is not available.
There are currently no logon servers available to service the logon request.

There is no policy set up to prevent access to this server. This just started doing this out of the blue last week. Incidentally I can access either server from the other server. This problem only exists on workstations. My logon credentials are admin priviledges, so I don't think that is the problem.

Any suggestions?

If it relates to Network Neighborhood and browsing the network, then it is a NetBIOS problem, not DNS. You probably have NetBIOS disabled on domain b.

Log onto a server on domain b, and check the TCP/IP properties for the network adapter in the control panel (assuming that you're using Windows). You should find NetBIOS under advanced properties.
