I have to install windows 98 in a 8gb HD.
So I have used fdisk to make the partitions.
and then I format its(4+4, two partitions c: and d:).
But when I try to scandisk c:, scandisk says that a invalid size of cluster.
I have already tried to modify the type of the disk in bios setup but nothing happened, the default is LBA.

If I try to install windows 98 without run scandisk doesn't work to. When all files are copied and instalation reboots the machine the computer freezes in boot.

HELP ME PLEASE!!!!

And don't know what I have to do,

Thanks,

mazzoni

Fdisk again and delete both partitions, reboot with cdrom support and run setup from there. 98 will build it for you with what it can see.
Or as an alternative, make the cd bootable device and install without floppy. You might not be able to do this depending on M/B.
What boot disk are you using? Sounds like a system glitch created by crossing utilities from different versions.
And I've seen problems like this from memory errors. Ed Fair
