i am trying to migrate excahnge 5.5 and its never been done, physically its new box.
scenario
I installed the scsi drive H: to be recognized as a slave drive. boot sector is not recognized. OS will not boot to this drive.
master C: will boot as OS WIN2000 server & Exchange 5.5 installed on master C:
What i did is read some whites on just copying the .edb files of mdbdata file pri. & pub.. my mistake, i ended up copying the whole file mdbdata from the H: drive to the new C: drive
first error was i did not know enough to run most commands from exchsrvr\bin dir. next i did not run the correct tools as a result I turned off all services as a process to clean up. I received error 1105 and cannot get the exchange processes even to start again.
send help please!
