I am receiving two of every email in Outlook 2000?

I am receiving two of every email in Outlook 2000? I can't figure it out. It started several months ago and I as hard as I have tried, I don't see any setting that would cause this to happen. I talked to my web server and ISP and they say it is not on their end.

The only thing I know I did that this phenomenon started happening after is... I set up my mac laptop to receive emails from the same account as my pc in outlook.. but I don;t have them running at the same time and the pc has not contact with the mac email program.

Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

You might have your email account set up to leave mail on server for a specified number of days. If that is the case, each time you download, you would be downloading the same messages again. If you go to the advanced tab of your account properties, you should see a check mark to leave messages on server. This is how it is on my IMO Outlook, so I can't be sure if it is the same on CW Outlook. Let me know if this helps.

Thanks for the response... but I don't have that option checked... and the download of two of each message only occurs one time.
